Stock No.15086
A small ornate cast iron Victorian combination fireplace with a wide moulded shelf and an integral grate. The highly decorative panels on the frieze depict birds amidst foliage and flank a central stylised mask panel. The long panels on the jambs are embellished with large floral sprigs climbing up from twin handled vases. These fireplaces were very
popular in smaller rooms or bedrooms from the mid-19th Century. They were made in cast iron and constructed as one unit.
English, circa 1880.
