A fine Louis XVI cast-iron arched antique insert in the Greek Revival manner, richly decorated with a central reversed caduceus held aloft by a pair of dragons, holding garlands in their mouths above twin griffin on podiums and with pairs of palemette amid elaborately scrolling foliage. The opening bordered with leaf, rosette and urn detail.
