A substantial Regency style white Statuary Marble Chimneypiece. The low, plain frieze and simple panelled end blocks are supported by round cornered, panelled and stop fluted jambs. The fireplace opening is surrounded by generous, deep mouldings delicately carved with stylised acanthus leaf decoration in the Greek manner, above large moulded foot blocks. Shown here with a very attractive 19th century Rococo style brass and cast iron fire basket, Stock No.13781, sold separately.
