A set of three leaded glass panels, the central panels depicting music as a scroll of sheet music, the arts depicted as a sculpture with a mason's tools, and astronomy as a planet surrounded by stars.

These panels can be fitted with a hook so they can be hung.

A set of seven Victorian leaded and painted glass window panels, two depicting grapevines, three depicting cherries and two depicting cobnuts. They can be set into a window, or displayed as an ornament, in which case we can fit hooks.

A pair of early 20th century, textured glass painted windows in rectangular leaded metal frames, decorated with naturalistic ribboned garlands of roses and foliage to the upper section above flamboyant sprays of flowers arranged within twin handled urns. French, circa 1910.

A Renaissance stone door casement, carved in dark grey Pietra Serena stone. The elegant overdoor takes the form of a concave scallop shell, a motif derived from Roman sarcophagi, which later became a Christian symbol of rebirth, resurrection and pilgrimage. This suggests that the doorway was perhaps an entrance to a place of worship. Beneath this, stylised dolphins are carved nose to tail, undulating across the now weathered surface, worn after centuries of exposure to the elements. Supporting this are carved capitals and jambs decorated with urns and foliate details.

Northern/Central Italian, possibly Florentine. A very similar door is on display in the Victorian and Albert Museum's Renaissance Gallery.

Restoration not possible.

A stained and leaded glass window panel, possibly representing the paternal arms of the Grosvenor Crest, depicting a talbot dog atop a helm set in a field of multiple coloured glass sections held in a later stained pine frame. The quarterings include a crescent and star mark of cadency above the motto Virtus Non Stemma which translates as Valour Not Garland and is the Duke of Westminster's motto at his Eaton Hall Estate. English, 17th century and later.

Provenance: By repute removed from a chapel on a Grosvenor Estate.

Notes: The talbot dog, now extinct, was a type of hunting dog and probably the ancestor of the beagle or bloodhound and is often used in heraldry to represent a good-mannered hunting dog. The cadency marks the status of a younger branch of a family.

A fine pair of grand walnut doors, casements and overdoors carved and gilded in the French Renaissance manner. They were originally in Park Place a Grade II listed house set in 570 acres near Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. The overdoors with arched pediments, centred by a large stylised shell flanked by ornate side scrolls, rest on the carved and gilded door surrounds again with the shell features. The upper panels of the doors are very finely carved with stylised dolphins, strapwork and cartouche each centred by lion masks carved in high relief. The lower panels with arched, raised and fielded panels. The doors are held on substantial rising butt brass hinges and the reverse side of each is set with plain raised and fielded panels. The house featured in the 2009 St Trinians film when the name Headmistress was affixed to the rear of one of the doors as can be seen in the last image. French, circa 1870.

Provenance: The doors were commissioned in the Renaissance style by the Noble family for Park Place which was built in the French Renaissance manner in 1871 by Architect Thomas Cundy.

Notes: John Noble bought the estate in 1869 and it stayed in the family until 1947 when it was auctioned off in a number of lots. The house was bought by the Middlesex County Council and in 1965 ownership was transferred to Hillingdon Council. The house and gardens were subsequently sold twice more during which time both were carefully restored and are now once again in private ownership.

A fine Art Nouveau style antique walnut door with beautiful marquetry panels depicting Elysian scenes in rosewood, pear, satinwood, burr elm, stained sycamore and purple heart; together with their intricately carved casements. The reverse side of the door is panelled mahogany. Known provenance. English, circa 1890.

'GATHER YE THE ROSEBUDS'
A 20th century Art Nouveau style stained glass tryptich of maidens in a woodland setting. The enamelled logo at the back of one of the panels states ' Glashaus 88 ', they were a Glasgow company of stained glass makers and restorers who were commissioned to make the panels in 1988 for The Princes Casino in Glasgow.
With restorations. Signed & dated 1988.

The figures in the central panel are very similar to those depicted in a window designed in 1902 by Ernest Archibald Taylor (1874 -1951), who trained at the Glasgow School of Art, for the industrialist William Weir entitled 'Gather Ye the Rosebuds'. His panel is illustrated in the book Scotland's Stained Glass by Michael Donnelly, image below.The title is probably a reference to the poem by Robert Herrick (1591 - 1674)

'Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old Time is still a-flying:
And this same flower that smiles today
To-morrow will be dying.'

It points to springtime with a warning and awareness of the swift passage of time and with it the inevitable loss of youth and beauty.

The Blues and Royals Regiment of The Household Cavalry. A set of three tall stained glass windows believed to be from a Regimental Chapel in Lancashire, North West England. The Eagle window being the insignia of The Blues & Royals, The Lion and Crown being the general insignia for the British Army with the Red Rose of Lancaster above, and the Crossed Keys and Mitre possibly representing the insignia for the Bishop of the British Army.

An imposing carved walnut doorway in the Renaissance manner. The breakfront carved cornice with a frieze is centred by a portrait of a noblewoman flanked by foliate scrolls with armorials. The Corinthian fluted columns are decorated at the base with figures, the ingrounds with Renaissance style carving.
